COMMUNITY GUIDELINES

Just be cool.
That's basically it.

These guidelines keep Crumb a positive, judgment-free space for everyone. They work alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. We may update them from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date below.

The Golden Rule

Be kind. To yourself, to others (if we ever add social features), and to our support team. We're all just trying to live healthier lives and maybe not feel guilty about that second slice of pizza.

This is a Food App

Crumb is built for one thing: logging what you eat and understanding it. Anything else you type in just confuses the AI. It will try very hard to find the calories in your grocery list. For notes, journaling, and everything else, there are great apps that do those things better.

AI Isn't Perfect

Our AI is pretty smart, but it's not a registered dietitian. It makes estimates, not diagnoses. If you have serious dietary concerns or health conditions, please talk to a real human professional. The AI won't take offense, we promise.

To put it plainly: everything Crumb tells you is an estimate for informational purposes only. Crumb does not provide medical advice, nutritional counseling, or professional health services, and it is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or health condition. Calorie and nutrition figures are approximations and may be inaccurate. Always consult a doctor or registered dietitian before making significant changes to your diet, especially if you have a medical condition.

Be Honest (With Yourself)

Look, we're not the food police. You can log "a small salad" when you actually had a burger, but the only person you'd be shortchanging is you. The app doesn't judge, it just does math. Accurate tracking gets accurate results.

Don't Be That Person

Don't try to hack the app, reverse engineer it, or use it for anything illegal or harmful.

Don't spam our support team with nonsense.

Don't try to exploit bugs (though if you find one, please tell us nicely and we'll fix it!).

All Bodies, All Goals

Crumb is a tool, not a judgment. We support people of all shapes, sizes, and nutrition goals. Whether you're trying to gain, lose, maintain, or just be more mindful, you're welcome here. No diet culture toxicity allowed.

Keep It Private

Your account is for you. Don't share your login with others.

Don't log food for other people on your account.

One person, one account, one food journey.

Content We Don't Allow

Don't use the app to promote eating disorders, extreme dieting, or unhealthy relationships with food.

Don't use it to share harmful content.

If you're struggling with food or body image issues, please reach out to a mental health professional. We care about your wellbeing.

You can also find free, confidential support through the National Eating Disorders Association or the ANAD Helpline at 1-888-375-7767 (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–9 PM CT). You don't have to figure it out alone.

Found a Bug?

Tell us! We're actively improving Crumb and we appreciate feedback.

Found a typo? Let us know.

App crashed? We want to hear about it.

Just be nice about it. Remember, real humans read these messages.

Feature Requests

Got ideas for making Crumb better? We'd love to hear them!

We can't promise we'll implement everything, but we genuinely read every suggestion. Who knows, your idea might be in the next update.

Age Restrictions

You must be at least 13 years old to use Crumb. If we learn that someone under 13 is using the app, we'll delete the account.

If you're between 13–17, please make sure your parents/guardians are aware you're using a nutrition tracking app. Growing bodies need proper nutrition, so talk to a trusted adult about your health goals.

Breaking the Rules

If you violate these guidelines, we might need to suspend or terminate your account.

We really don't want to do that, though. Just be cool, use the app as intended, and we'll all get along fine.

And if you think we got it wrong, email us and a real human will review your case.

The Real Deal

These guidelines are here to keep Crumb a positive, helpful space for everyone.

We built this app because we believe nutrition tracking should be simple and judgment-free. Help us maintain that vibe.
